The Ocean City Power Squadron is a community based non-profit boating organization. We are a group of men and women living on Maryland's Eastern Shore dedicated to improving boating education, boating safety and promoting a friendly boating environment through social gatherings. Whether your interests are in yachts, small power boats, personal water craft, sailing vessels, canoeing, kayaking or rafting, we're here for you.

The purpose of United States Power Squadrons ™, which was organized in 1914, is to provide community service programs and safe boating education to the general public through our Public Boating CoursesSeminars and Educational Guides and Booklets. In-depth training is offered to members through the USPS University which provides advanced boating education. We have a Vessel Safety Examination Program  that provided free vessel safety checks to both members and the general public. Additionally, our members continually assist the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA in producing accurate up-to-date nautical charts of the local waters through our Cooperative Charting Program.

The Ocean City Power Squadron also sponsors a wide variety of Social Activities for members and guests which include raft-ups, cruises, picnics and dinner/dance events. Visitors to this web page are encouraged to investigate our educational and vessel safety examination programs.

We encourage visitors to explore the Membership Opportunities available to anyone joining the Ocean City Power Squadron and the many benefits and discounts available to everyone affiliated with the USPS Organization. Squadron members are asked to provide suggestions for this web page to the webmaster or any member of the Bridge.
